Note from the Retreat Committee:

10th Annual Weekend Retreat Update

As you may have assumed, again this year, 2021, it saddens us to inform you that because of Covid-19, and the many continuing circumstances surrounding this terrible virus, we have made the decision to cancel our HDCCW Weekend Retreat for 2021.

For all those who attended our 2019 retreat and have been looking forward to being together again, we will have to postpone our reunion until 2022. The medical restrictions that the State of Maryland and Mt. St. Mary’s University has put upon all Conferences this year is the primary factor for the cancellation, as we would have strict guidelines about checking temperatures each day and isolating anyone with a temperature. Also, the state of Massachusetts and the Monastery where Father Chris Alar resides have their own rules.

Again, a bright spot, Fr. Chris has agreed to be our Retreat Master for next year to be held at Mt. St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, MD the weekend of June 10-12, 2022! We sincerely hope that all of you who attended the 2019 retreat will ‘save the date’ for 2022.

A registration form will be sent to you in early in 2022, either by email or mail for those without an email address. Please “talk it up” to friends, family, and fellow parishioners so they may put it on their calendars, and we will be assured of a great turnout!

Thank you for your understanding of our situation. Please stay healthy and safe and we hope to see you on “Mary’s Mountain” next year for another weekend of spirituality, relaxation, and fellowship.

God bless you,

HDCCW Retreat Committee

Fr. Chris Alar, MIC will be our Retreat Master for 2022. Please “Save the Date” June 10-12, for 2022 HDCCW Weekend Retreat.

Please contact Jeanne Warren with any questions. She can be reached by email at [email protected] or telephone (717) 367-9306.
