Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women
Our International Commission encourages all Councils to promote awareness of the many programs devoted to providing basic needs to those in foreign countries.
To remind our members Jesus asked us to serve “the least of these” in his Name and by doing so we honor Him.
Madonna Plan: provides programs to help women learn about improving their economic security through micro businesses and provides projects to help improve the health, nutritional and educational needs of their families.
Water for Life: provides resources to build water systems in their villages allowing access to clean water.
Help-a-Child: provides programs to assist children around the world by sustaining education, providing nutritious meals, providing immunizations against disease and infections, and training to their health care workers.
NCCW is in partnership with Cross Catholic Outreach through the Women Helping Women Campaign fighting Human Trafficking of Women and Young Girls who are being sold into slavery for labor and sexual exploitation, as well as upholding the Sanctity of Life by protecting mothers and the lives of their unborn children from forced abortions.
